ASHEBORO NC (RCSO) [ARCHIVED] – On January 10, 2020, while the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling the Tobacco Road and Old Glenola Road area of Trinity, deputies located a male subject in the middle of the roadway, walking out in front of traffic. Upon investigation, the subject was identified as John Allen Harrington, who had been involved in a single car vehicle accident. His car was located in a wooded area nearby. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia and cocaine were located. Harrington was processed for the driving while impaired by the North Carolina Highway Patrol. Harrington was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was taken before a magistrate who found probable cause for Felony Possession of Cocaine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Harrington was placed on a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for January 11, 2021, in Randolph County District Court.
