ASHEBORO NC (RANDOLPH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE) – On January 1, 2021, at around 12:42 am, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wright Country Road, Thomasville, in reference to a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, deputies did not locate the suspect but found damage to the property.
At approximately 12:46 am, an additional call regarding larceny of a vehicle was reported on Little Creek Drive within sight of the previously reported crime. The victim reported that someone was banging on the back door of the residence and trying to force the door open and subsequently heard his vehicle, a gray in color Honda, start and then watched it drive off at a high rate of speed.
While conducting the investigation, a third call for service was received from a residence on Reddy Fox Lane in a nearby neighborhood that a Geoffrey Shane Brisson subject arrived in a silver Honda passenger car and was going to different residences and kicked open the door of one residence. Brisson reportedly fled the area driving the vehicle. Additional agencies were notified to be on the lookout.
Warrants were issued for Brisson for Felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, two counts Misdemeanor Attempted Breaking and Entering, and Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property.
Subsequently, Thomasville Police Department located the vehicle in their jurisdiction on E. Holly Grove Road; the vehicle had been set of fire.
