ASHEBORO NC – We are just learning details about drug bust back in June that resulted in 1 person being arrested and almost 10 grams of meth being seized.
According to Asheboro Assistant Chief of Police Robbie Brown, the department’s Vice/Narcotics units Detectives utilized an undercover officer to make purchases of suspected methamphetamine from a resident at 322 Brookside Drive in Asheboro on two separate occasions. The evidence obtained from those undercover buys resulted in police arresting 33 year old John Chester Reed for Felony Selling / Delivering of a Schedule II Drug.
According to the North Carolina Dept of Public Safety Reed has previous been convicted of drug charges and stealing firearms. Reed is set to appear in court later this month in Randolph County District Court on October19th 2021.
