Military Appreciation Week – NC Zoo
November 8 – November 14
In celebration of Veterans Day, from November 8-14, North Carolina Zoo is offering military free admission and $2 off admission for up to six accompanying guests.
This special military discount is offered to all active duty, reserve, veteran and retired military personnel and only available for admission purchased on-site. Please bring any of the following to qualify for the discount: US Veterans ID, Military ID, DD-214 with Photo ID,
State driver’s license with the veteran indicator, or military identifier
ID issued by the VA, VFW, or American Legion.
2021 Field of Honor
November 11 – November 14
The baseball field at South Asheboro Middle School will be transformed into a Field of Honor with 500 U.S. flags posted in perfect rows and columns in tribute of Heroes. Join the Asheboro Rotary Club and the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce present a panorama of Stars and Stripes.
