Town of Ramseur to Hold Public Meeting About Recent Water Issues

ASHEBORO N.C. – The Town of Ramsuer is set to hold a public hearing tomorrow regarding recent water quality issues.

This month Randolph News Now has received dozens of comments, messages, emails, and phone calls about black and brown water coming from Ramseur’s Municipal Water Treatment System.

The Town of Ramsuer says in a public notice that the Board of Commissioners Special will hold a special Meeting-Tuesday December 13th, 2022, at 6:30 pm about “Issues Related to the Water Leak at the Old Water Plant”.

Earlier today Randolph News Now reached out to the Town’s offices and while we were able to reach someone over the phone the Town said that they have “no comment at this time”.

Randolph News Now is continuing to investigate on-going water quality issues reported by customers of the water system, including reports about brown water at local schools in the area served by the water system. Anyone with any information is encouraged to reach out to us.
