LIBERTY N.C. (NC DOT) – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will perform nightly closures of the southbound lanes of U.S. 421 next week in Randolph County, weather permitting.
From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sept. 25 to Sept. 28, crews from Ames Construction plan to close U.S. 421 South as part of ongoing interchange work.
A signed detour to Shiloh Road will be in place during the southbound closure.
Lane closures with no detour will be in place during the same timeframe for on Sept 29, and Oct 2-6.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and use caution when approaching the work zone and detour.
