Man Charged With Disseminating Obscene Material To Minors

ASHEBORO NC – According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office a local man has been charged with Disseminating Obscene Material to Minors.

A press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says the Criminal Investigation Division Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) division received information that an individual by the name of Justin Christopher McKinney was Disseminating Obscene Material to Minors.

Detectives began an investigation and on March 16th, 2021, Warrants for Arrest were issued for McKinney for two counts Felony Disseminate Obscene Material to Minor. Later in the day, McKinney was located by Siler City Police Department, arrested and transported to the Chatham County Detention Center where he was served his Warrants for Arrest. He was given a $10,000 secured bond and a court date was set for April 7, 2021, in Randolph County District Court.

Police also say they executed a search warrant for his residence on March 16, 2021 and that the investigation is ongoing with additional charges possible.
