Join us for an evening of family fun as the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce presents the annual Asheboro Christmas parade, to be held on Friday, December 1, at 7 p.m. in downtown Asheboro.
The parade route, filled with beautiful floats, musicians, dancers, and a host of other entries, will begin at the corner of Church and Sunset Avenue, head east on Sunset to Fayetteville Street, then south of Fayetteville Street, and ending at Kivett Street.
Asheboro’s own Randy Lucas will be the parade emcee for the 26th year. Parade judges with the tough job of determining the winning floats in First, Second, and Third categories are: Hope Haywood, Justin Luck, Christian Morgan, Jeremy Skidmore, and Lorraine Smith. Street closures for the events on December 1 will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Two special events will also be featured before the parade. A meet and greet will be held with this year’s parade grand marshal, Kyle Petty, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sunset Theatre and a tree lighting ceremony will be held at the City of Asheboro Christmas tree at the railroad tracks on Sunset at 6 p.m.
