Community Walk at the North Carolina Zoo

2023 is the Year of the Trail in NC! To celebrate, please join us again for this free, no frills, come as you are ”Community Walk” in Asheboro, NC. The Purgatory Trailhead is located at the north end of the North America parking lot of the NC Zoo. Approximate walk/hike distance is 2 miles for this event and lasts approximately 1.5-2 hours. Please bring your own water and snacks along. Leashed dogs are welcome. All ages and all abilities welcome to join.
