Need help filling out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? Randolph Community College’s Financial Aid Office is hosting a FAFSA Day on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m.-noon in rooms 106 and 108 the Continuing Education and Industrial Center on the Asheboro Campus.

The FAFSA assists students in obtaining funds for higher education. Prospective and current college students must complete the form annually to determine their eligibility for federal and state financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and low-interest student loans. The information provided on the FAFSA, such as household income, assets, and family size, is used to calculate the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which determines the amount of financial aid a student may receive. Timely submission of the FAFSA is crucial, as many aid programs operate on a first-come, first-served basis, making it a vital tool for individuals seeking financial assistance to pursue their educational goals.
