ASHEBORO N.C. - A man was shot and his car stolen this morning in Trinity, and now police are asking the public to be on the look out for a suspect vehicle. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office at around 9 a.m. this morning they responded to a call about an assault at the Dollar General on Hwy 62 in Trinity. A 911 caller had reported that the victim had come into the store asking for help stating he had been shot and his car stolen. Randolph County EMS transported the victim to an area hospital. Police located the victims vehicle abandoned on Sabine St in Trinity. The victim was able to provide a description of the suspect vehicle as a green in color Jeep Cherokee occupied by two suspects.
