Randolph County Sheriff Greg Seabolt - 2019 (Scott Pelkey / Acme News Archive) ASHEBORO N.C. - This afternoon the Randolph County Sheriff's Office has announced that Sheriff Greg Seabolt has been hospitalized with an illness after first experiencing symptoms shortly after the beginning of this year. In a statement provided via email Deric B Skeen, on behalf of Sheriff Seabolt and family said that "as the Sheriff continues improving under medical supervision and treatment, Chief Deputy Azelton is overseeing the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.  Sheriff Seabolt appreciates the continued dedication and service of all his deputies and the continued support of the citizens of Randolph County." Sheriff’s Office Investigates Theft Ring of Catalytic Converters & Copper, Announces Arrests

ASHEBORO N.C. - Four individuals are facing a total of 69 felony charges following an investigation into a theft-ring stealing catalytic converters and copper in northwestern Randolph County. After being rescheduled from earlier this month, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office held a press conference on April 1st 2022, where they revealed they had been involved in a multi-week investigation into what they called a "theft-ring" operating in the Trinity, Archdale, Thomasville, and High Point areas.
