Fallen Heros: Joey Thompson
ASHEBORO N.C. - This week family, friends, and fellow co-worker are mourning the loss of Joey Thompson, who passed away peacefully at High Point Regional Hospital on Monday January 24th 2022, after a long and hard fight, with COVID-19. Thompson began working at the Randolph County 9-1-1 center in 2013 where he was known for his unique deep voice and playful sense of humor.
Due to COVID restrictions the family decided to do a virtual service so all may honor him. The family respectfully ask that in lieu of flowers, money be sent to Caleb Thompson, his 9-year-old son in order to help with his education. .
