ASHEBORO N.C. - Wheatmore Middle School was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after the school discovered a potential threat to the safety of the school written on the wall of a bathroom. On February 1st, 2023, at 2 PM, Wheatmore Middle School's principal, Dr. Bruce Carrol sent out a phone message to parents saying that the school had to be evacuated due to a threat to the safety of the school.
