ASHEBORO NC (RCSO) [ARCHIVED] – On January 13, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Cocaine in the Liberty area. Detectives, along with the assistance of the Randolph County Emergency Response Team and Liberty Police Department, executed a search warrant on S. Murphy St, the residence of Charles Vernon Herbert. During the search, Detectives located and seized a Trafficking amount of Cocaine, items of drug paraphernalia and US Currency.
Charles Vernon Herbert was charged with Felony Trafficking in Cocaine, Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Simple Possession Schedule VI and Misdemeanor Possess Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to Randolph County Detention Center and given a $50,000.00 Secured Bond with a court date scheduled for January 14, 2021 in Randolph County District Court.
