Sheriffs Office Arrest Suspect In Connection With Multiple Breaking And Enterings

ASHEBORO NC (RCSO) [ARCHIVED] – On January 5, 2021, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Detectives went to the residence of Julian Glenn Cross following a lead on several breaking and enterings and larcenies.  When the detectives arrived at the house they located several items in plain view they believed to be stolen.  Cross was arrested for an outstanding warrant for a larceny that occurred in September on Plott Hound Trail in Sophia, for Misdemeanor Larceny and Possession of Stolen Goods.

During the arrest, Cross was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia.  Cross was then transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was taken before the magistrate and charged with Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Maintain a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

During the execution of a subsequent search warrant, Detectives located additional evidence in possession of Cross that led detectives to obtaining additional warrants related to three additional breaking and entering and larcenies on Maple Ridge Drive in Franklinville and Jennings Road in Randleman in which property was stolen to include a firearm; and larceny from a mailbox on Plott Hound Trail in Sophia that occurred in November.  Cross was subsequently charged with three counts of Felony Breaking and or Entering, three counts of Felony Larceny After Breaking/Entering, three counts of Felony Possession of Stolen Goods/Property, Felony Larceny of a Firearm, Felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Misdemeanor Larceny, Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.  He was given an additional $50,000 secured bond for these charges and a court appearance was set for January 8, 2021. 

The estimated recovered property value is $6,000.

UPDATE: On January 11, 2021, additional warrants were issued against Cross for larcenies that occurred on the 18th and 24th of December at an additional address on Plott Hound Trail in Sophia for two counts Felony Breaking and/or Entering, two counts Felony Larceny After Breaking/Entering, Misdemeanor Attempted Larceny, Misdemeanor Second Degree Trespassing, Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods/Property and Misdemeanor Possession Marijuana Paraphernalia.
He was also served a warrant for Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense for pawning property stolen from the Whites Memorial Rd. address in Franklinville. He was given an additional $25,000 secured bond and a court date for these charges was set for January 13, 2021.
