Drugs And Gun Sized From Man On House Arrest

ASHEBORO NC (RCSO PRESS RELEASE)- On February 4, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division conducted an investigation resulting in a subsequent search of the residence of Matthew Chad Blake, located on Emmanuel Church Rd., Asheboro. Detectives located and seized Heroin, Methamphetamine, Alprazolam and items of drug paraphernalia. A firearm was also located and seized. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest Division also assisted in the search.

Matthew Chad Blake was charged with Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Heroin, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance, Felony Manufacture/Sell/Deliver/Possess Controlled Substance at Child Care Center, Felony Electronic House Arrest Violation, Misdemeanor Possession Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Simple Possession Schedule IV Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Simple Possession Schedule III Controlled Substance. He was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges and given a $90,000 Secured Bond with a court date scheduled for February 5, 2021, in Randolph County District Court.
