ASHEBORO NC – An Asheboro man is in jail under a $200,000 secured bond after police arrested him following allegations of sexual misconduct with a child.
According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff’s Office, on May 21, 2021, they received a report of allegations of sexual misconduct by Juan Alberto Gonzalez Fuentes. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Randleman Police Department opened a joint investigation which led to them obtaining warrants for the arrest of Mr. Gonzalez Fuentes for three counts of Felony Statutory Sex Offense with a child <= 15 on June 2, 2021.
Gonzalez Fuentes was arrested on June 3, 2021, and remanded to the custody of the Randolph County Detention Center, where his bond was set for $200,000.000. His first appearance was set for June 4, 2021, in Randolph County District Court.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
