A Randolph County Deputy Chased a Vehicle on Foot, Arrests Driver

ASHEBORO N.C. - A Randolph County Deputy chased a vehicle on foot that was trying to flee and arrested the driver who was likely feeling a bit of déjà vu. On August 21st, 2023, while performing routine patrol in the area of Little Gate Dr., in Asheboro, a deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office spotted a vehicle parked beside the railroad tracks. According to a press release the deputy stopped to investigate and located a male subject, identified as Gregory Allen Walker, who was found asleep inside the vehicle. The deputy woke up Walker, obtained his ID, and went back to his vehicle to run the ID when the Sheriff's Office says Walker began to drive away on a trail into the woods. Man With 15 Warrants from GA Arrested On Traffic Stop in Randolph County

ASHEBORO N.C. - A man with 15 outstanding warrants was arrested during a traffic stop on I-73 last week, and things only got worse from there. According to a press release from the the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on March 3rd, 2022, Detectives with the Vice & Narcotics Unit pulled over a vehicle on I-73 North at exit 79. The driver, who they identified as Joseph Adam Spaugh, wanted out of the State of Georgia with full extradition as well as fifteen warrants. Spaugh was placed under arrest. During a search of the vehicle police say they found methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Spaugh was taken to the Randolph County Jail where police say they then found more methamphetamine when jail staff searched him. ASHEBORO NC - An Asheboro man is in jail under a $200,000 secured bond after police arrested him following allegations of sexual misconduct with a child. Juan-Alberto-Gonzalez-Fuentes According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office, on May 21, 2021, they received a report of allegations of sexual misconduct by Juan Alberto Gonzalez Fuentes. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Randleman Police Department opened a joint investigation which led to them obtaining warrants for the arrest of Mr. Gonzalez Fuentes for three counts of Felony Statutory Sex Offense with a child <= 15 on June 2, 2021. Gonzalez Fuentes was arrested on June 3, 2021, and remanded to the custody of the Randolph County Detention Center, where his bond was set for $200...
