ASHEBORO NC – Ken Jennings, the man who won 74 consecutive game of Jeopardy! is set to speak in Asheboro this weekend.
In 2004, Jennings auditioned for a spot on on the popular quiz show Jeopardy! and was accepted. A recent rule change removed the five consecutive games limit for winners which led to Jennings going on a 74-game victory streak winning an estimated $2.52 million. In 2020, he beat out Brad Rutter and James Holzhauer in the “Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time.” Jennings went on tp become a Jeopardy! consulting producer and authored 12 books, including “Brainiac,” about his time on Jeopardy!.
Jennings appearance is apart of the Sunset Signature Series 2021, which is sponsored by the Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau, the City of Asheboro, and the Friends of the Library. The event is scheduled for Aug 28th at 6 PM at the Sunset Theater and is free to the public.
