ASHEBORO N.C. – The Asheboro Police Department has announced today that they have charged four individuals in connection with the shooting of a 17 year-old on Millikan Ave back on March 19th 2022.
In a press release sent out today, the Asheboro Police Department announced that on the March 29th 2022 Detective L. Johnson with the Asheboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division secured charges on four individuals for the shooting of a 17 year-old juvenile which occurred back on March 19th 2022 on Millikan Avenue in Asheboro.
Of those charged are three were juveniles, including two 14 year-olds and a 16 year-old who were all charged with Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Discharging a Barreled Weapon into Occupied Property Causing Serious Bodily Injury, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
Also charged was 18-year old Nehemiah Quashawn Gaines for Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
That same day officers with the Asheboro Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team arrested Gaines and a 14 year-old juvenile at an address in Asheboro. Gaines was taken to the Randolph County Jail where he is being held under a $26,000.00 secured bond. On March 30th 2022 deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Apprehension Team took the other 14 year-old juvenile into custody along with the 16 year-old juvenile.
