Asheboro Police Investigating 2 Discharging Firearms Calls Over Weekend

ASHEBORO N.C. – Asheboro police are investigating two calls for discharging firearms, including one where two vehicles were struck last Sunday and Monday.

On April 24th 2022 just before 5 pm, officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to Walnut St for a call about shots fired in the area. According to a report officers secured and searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect or victim. A witness on scene told police the incident had happened an hour prior and police ended up taking a report for documentation.

The next day on April 25th 2022, at around 6:20 pm, officers were called to Loach st on the eastside of the city. A caller reported that they had heard shots fired and that two vehicles in the area had been struck. No suspect or victim was located.
