Charles Edman Moran, Jr. (left) and Matthew Kelly Flinchum (right) - (Provided by Randolph County Sheriff's Office) ASHEBORO N.C. — Two suspects who allegedly fired into a Randleman home earlier this week have been arrested and charged by the Sheriff’s Office.  On March 5th, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wicker Lovell Rd., in Randleman after receiving numerous calls about shots being fired in the area.   According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, one of those callers told dispatchers that their home had been hit and they identified a white four-door vehicle that was driving by at the time.   When deputies arrived, they located fired ammunition casings along the roadway. Asheboro Police Responded to Shots Fired Last Weekend

ASHEBORO N.C. - Over the weekend Asheboro Police responded to a call about shots fired just a block away from the police station. According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department, on Nov 12th, 2022, officers responded to the area of S Fayetteville St. and W. Academy St. in reference to a report of shots fired. Randolph County 911 advised that the occupants of two vehicles, a white passenger car and a black passenger car, were shooting at each other as the vehicles were traveling on the roadway. Officers saturated the area but did not locate either vehicle or any victims. A police sergeant located eleven spent 9mm shell casings in the roadway which were placed into evidence. ASHEBORO N.C. - Asheboro police are investigating two calls for discharging firearms, including one where two vehicles were struck last Sunday and Monday. On April 24th 2022 just before 5 pm, officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to Walnut St for a call about shots fired in the area. According to a report officers secured and searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect or victim. A witness on scene told police the incident had happened an hour prior and police ended up taking a report for documentation. The next day on April 25th 2022, at around 6:20 pm, officers were called to Loach st on the eastside of the city. ASHEBORO NC – A Thomasville man is in jail facing multiple felonies after police say he shot into a home with several people inside. On August 12, 2021, at approximately 10:34 pm, the Randolph County Sheriff’s responded to a report of shots fired into a home on Old Mountain Rd. in Trinity. When deputies arrived, witnesses told them that someone had fired several shots into a home while several people were inside. Police say based on witnesses and information they obtained they were able to identify two suspected suspects.
