ASHEBORO N.C. – A local man was arrested Sunday after police responded to a call about shots fired at the Randolph Inn in Asheboro.
According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on April 10th, 2022, police were dispatched to the area of Albemarle Rd after 911 caller reported someone was firing a gun.
Units with the Asheboro Police Department arrived first at the Randolph Inn also responded. Police say they witnessed subjects fighting in the parking lot. The alleged assailant, identified in the press release as as Trevor Aaron Holmes, was detained. Victims reported that Holmes had been chasing them around the vehicle with a machete.
Randolph County EMS responded to treat the an unknown number of victims injured in the attack.
Holmes was arrested by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and taken to the Randolph County Jail and charged with multiple felonies and given a $35,000 total secured bond. Holmes was set to appear in Randolph County court on April 11, 2022.
