ASHEBORO N.C. – The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested a suspect in connection with the vandalism and burglary of a church and burglary of a local convenience store in Franklinville.
According to a press release on April 6th, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office responded to West Main Street in
Franklinville after getting a call about vandalism that occured at a church. Just two days later deputies were called back to the same church for a burglary.
From speaking with the 911 caller they learned that an unknown subject had forcibly broken into the church fellowship hall and had gone through the storage room and all of the closets. according to the Sheriff’s Office the suspect had damaged parts of the building during the break in. Crime Scene Investigations responded and collected evidence.
The next day on April 9th, 2022, Deputies responded to Quik Chek on W. Main St. in Franklinville after the alarm was set off. When they arrived they say the found a shattered glass door on the south side of the business. After reviewing surveillance footage police called for a K9 unit which located property from the theft. Police say they believed the suspect had left in a car.
Following the investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, warrants were issued for the arrest of 18-year-old KC Bryant Osborne in connection with all three incidents.
On April 12, 2022, Bryant was located and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center
where he was served the warrants and given a $5,000 unsecured bond and a court date was set for
May 9, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
