The following is a list of Veterans Day discounts offered by local businesses in Randolph County for 2023. All of these have been confirmed and we will provide a link to the company’s website when one is available. Some events on other lists may not be here if there is no location in Randolph County or we were not able to confirm it from the company’s website or a press release.

NC Zoo
The North Carolina Zoo is offering free admission for military personnel and retirees and free admission for one accompanying guest during Military Appreciation week, from Nov. 7th and Nov 13th, 2022. This special discount is available to active duty, reserve, veteran, and retired military personnel from all military branches and is only available for admission purchased on-site. (More Details)

Huddle House, known for bringing friends and family together, is paying tribute to those who are serving or have served in the military with a Free MVP Breakfast Platter this Veterans Day. On November 10, active duty, retired military, and veterans may visit any participating Huddle House to enjoy their MVP meal. On Saturday, November 11, all vets and active military members can get a free half turkey sub and regular fountain drink for free at any of Sheetz’s over 700 locations. A free car wash is also being offered to military members at any Sheetz location that has a car wash.

Hugo’s / Han-Dee Hugo’s
FREE CAR WASH FOR VETERANS! Nov. 11th we will be giving out free car washes to all military Veterans. Han-Dee Hugo’s is also offering a free any-size fountain drink or coffee to veterans. (More details)
Food Lion
In honor of Veterans Day, Food Lion, an omnichannel retailer, is saluting the service of all U.S. active-duty military personnel and veterans by providing a 10% discount on Saturday, Nov. 11. To receive the discount at its more than 1,100 stores across its 10-state footprint, active-duty military, veterans and their families should present their MVP card and military identification at the time of checkout. Great Clips
On Saturday, November 11, 2023, veterans and active service members can go into any U.S. Great Clips salon and get a free haircut or a free haircut card for a future visit. In addition, non-military customers who get a haircut on Veterans Day at Great Clips salons will also have the opportunity to pay it forward. They can receive a free haircut card to give to an active service member or veteran they know as a way of saying thank you. To celebrate the service and commitment of the nation’s military and honor those who serve the country, Walgreens is offering a four-day in-store discount to all veterans and active-duty military personnel, as well as their family members. On Friday, Nov. 10 through Monday, Nov. 13, veterans, military and their families will receive 20 percent off regular price eligible store items* at any Walgreens or Duane Reade drugstore nationwide.
