Date Set For 13th Annual Armed Services Blood Drive

ASHEBORO N.C. – On October 5th, 2022, Randolph County Government will be sponsoring its 13th annual armed Services Blood Drive to support the military.

The blood drive will be held from 11:00 am through 6:00 pm at the National Guard Armory located at 1430 S. Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC.

Blood donated directly to the Armed Services Blood Program equates to fewer units the military has to purchase from an outside source. Yes, “purchase.” Other sources of blood are sold to agencies that need the supply, including to the military.

Donations will support deployed military, Womack Army Medical Center, and other military treatment
facilities within the Department of Defense. The Fort Bragg Blood Donor Center is one of more than 20
Armed Services Blood Program blood donor centers worldwide. The Armed Services Program is the
official military blood program of the United States and provides a direct connection between those who
give and military service members in need of life-saving blood.
