Drive Electric Event at the North Carolina Zoo

Celebrate National Drive Electric Week at the North Carolina Zoo from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

This free public event, hosted in the North America parking lot directly across from the Stedman building in the North America Parking lot, will showcase the clean-air and cost-saving benefits of driving all-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid automobiles. See first-hand a variety of electric vehicles (EV) used at the Zoo and learn how the Zoo is reducing its carbon footprint. The NC Zoo Society and its partners will be on hand to highlight commercially available EV’s for guests to check out!

Rock’n The Park -Natural Wonder

The last of the Downtown Asheboro Rock’n The Park Friday Night Concerts will take place this weekend featuring Natural Wonder, a Stevie Wonder Tribute Band, with opening band SoulJam. The concert is free and open to the public and starts at 6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and cash for the food trucks!

Liberty Antiques Festival

Held just twice a year, 400 dealers from more than 25 states migrate to this 100-acre farm near downtown Liberty, North Carolina. Dig through the past to find today’s treasures amongst 18th to 20th-century furniture, accessories, pottery, glass, clocks, dolls, toys, military items, advertising memorabilia, decoys, jewelry, quilts, folk art, and “in the rough” country Americana! It’s the way it used to be – no crafts or reproductions – just truckloads of antiques and collectibles.

NC Aviation Museum & Hall of Fame Annual Fly-In

A casual family-friendly event filled with unique airplanes, aviation history, and home builds. The event starts at 9 a.m. and food vendors will be onsite. Entry to the museum is included with your admission to the event.

Admission: $10, per person; ages 10 & under, FREE

NASCAR Day Festival

Thousands will converge on downtown Randleman for the Annual NASCAR Day Festival this Saturday from 9am to 6 pm. Main Street and Commerce Square will be filled with anything you could desire from delicious food including BBQ, handmade crafts, home products, racing memorabilia, cars, kids’ rides, simulators, Corn Hole Championship and three stages of entertainment.  Autograph sessions will vary with most being in the afternoon. Richard Petty will sign from 2pm to 3:30pm with a limit of two items. Returning again this year is the dinosaurs, they will take over the civic center. Rain or Shine!

Liberty Downtown Festival

The town of Liberty will be hosting their Downtown Festival starting at 11 a.m. this Saturday on Fayetteville Street. The event is free and open to the public and will feature music, food trucks, and more.

Rumble In the Park

Come out to Riverside Park in Franklinville to see all of the cool cars, and trucks! This free event is from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Kersey Valley Spookywoods
