The following is a list of Veterans Day discounts offered by local retailers and businesses in Randolph County for 2021. All of these have been confirmed and we will provide a link to the companies website when one is available. If you know of one we missed, or your a business owner offering a free or discounted item or service for veterans let us know.
Please Note: Most businesses will require proof of military service, therefore we will only note when one has special requirements.

NC Zoo – In celebration of Veterans Day, from November 8-14, we are offering military free admission and $2 off admission for up to six accompanying guests. This special military discount is offered to all active duty, reserve, veteran and retired military personnel and only available for admission purchased on-site.
Food / Restaurants
Chilli’s – Chili’s is offering a free meal to veterans and active duty service members from a select menu on Veterans Day, November 11th. Available for in-restaurant only.
Dunkin -Dunkin’ is celebrating Veterans Day by giving all veterans and active military a small thanks for a huge service – a free donut of their choice on Thursday, November 11, at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide, no purchase necessary (While supplies last. Limit one per customer. Offer available in-store only. Not available for orders placed using On-the-Go Mobile Ordering through the Dunkin’ Mobile App.)
Golden Corral – Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 5pm to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.
IHOP – Veterans and active-duty military get free Red, White & Blueberry Pancakes at participating locations on Thursday, November 11. Dine-in only, one per guest. Restrictions apply.
Sheetz – Free half turkey sub and a regular-size fountain drink for veterans and current military members. Also free car wash at Sheetz locations that offer car washes. Participating locations only
Wendys – Wendys is saying thank you to America’s active military and veterans with free breakfast combo* on Veterans Day.
Retail / Shopping
Dollar General – Veterans as well as active-duty military and their families get a 20% discount in-store and online at Dollar General from November 11 through 14.
Food Lion – On Nov. 11, Food Lion is providing a 10% discount for veterans and military. 10% off total shopping basket (before taxes, exclusions apply). Valid only on Nov. 11. All active, retired military, veterans and honorably discharged personnel are eligible.Customers must request the discount and show their military ID and use their personal Food Lion MVP card in order to receive 10% off their order at the cash register. This discount will be rewarded when a trigger card for store use only is scanned during the transaction. Exclusion items include alcohol (beer and wine), tobacco, gift cards, lottery, pharmacy, postage stamps and services.
Great Clips – Veterans and active military members can visit a U.S. Great Clips salon and receive either a free haircut that day or a free haircut card. In addition, non-military customers who get a haircut on Veterans Day at Great Clips salons can pay it forward. They will receive a free haircut card they can give to an active service member or veteran as a way of saying thank you. The cards can be redeemed for a free haircut from November 12 through December 10, 2021.
