Woman Charged In Connection With Asheboro House Fire

ASHEBORO N.C. – A woman has been charged in connection with a house fire back on Sunday in Asheboro.

Thats according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office who in a press release said that on November 28, 2021 they responded to the scene of a house fire at the request of the Fire Marshal Investigator. That investigation, a team effort between the Fire Marshal’s Office and the Criminal Investigations Detectives, determined that Laura Nicole Gunter had intentionally set fire to the home on Staleys Farm Rd., in Asheboro. Gunter was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Jail where the magistrate found probable cause for charge of Felony Fraudulently Burning Dwelling. She was issued a $2,500 secured bond and a first appearance yesterday on November 29, 2021, in Randolph County District Court.
