Christmas Carol-ing Trolley Tour 2022

Get you ticket’s beginning on November 1 for the second season of this magical Christmas event!!! The City of Asheboro and our local Chick-Fil-A invite you to join in a rollicking trolley tour full of bah-hum-buggery and a presentation of Charles Dickens's “A Christmas Carol.” While riding on the trolley route, viewing decorations, and singing Christmas carols, you will make stops where actors board the trolley and present you with each scene from the play. The evening will conclude with a gift bag full of treats provided by Chick-Fil-A, Central Bakery and Carriage House Tea. This is a family-friendly event. 7th Annual SWRHS Holiday Pie Sale

The Culinary Arts students of Southwestern Randolph High School, the "Culinary Cougars," are gearing up for their 7th Annual Holiday Pie Sale. The Culinary Cougars will bake six varieties of pie from scratch to raise money for culinary competitions. For this year’s sale, students will prepare pies in time for Thanksgiving meals. Homemade pecan, sweet potato, pumpkin, Dutch apple crumb, chocolate chip walnut, and chocolate chip (nut free) will be available for pick-up or delivery on Tuesday, Nov. 22. All pies are $10. With easy-to-follow directions for thawing and reheating, these freshly baked pies make your holiday meal prep stress-free. According to a press release from the city, Tranquil Time with the Clauses’ is designed for individuals with an intellectual disability to visit with Mr. & Mrs. Claus in a "calm, low sensory environment that will allow the individual to have a magical one on one experience." ASHEBORO N.C. – The Asheboro Rotary Club and the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce will come together to put on the 6th annual Field of Honor later this month. Starting on Friday, November 11th, and running through Sunday, November 13, the baseball field at South Asheboro Middle School will covered with 500 U.S. flags in recognition of veterans, active-duty service men and women, and first responders. Throughout the weekend, the public will be able to visit the Field of Honor and walk among the flags anytime, day or night. ASHEBORO, N.C. (RAMSEUR FD) – The Randolph County Association of Fire Chiefs is kicking off the 2022 Fire Prevention Week by hosting an annual Firefighter Day on October 8th , 2022. The event will be held in the Randolph County Courthouse parking lot at 176 East Salisbury Street in Asheboro from 9am – 4pm. The majority of fire departments that serve Randolph County, along with Ash-Rand Rescue Squad and EMS will be present with informational displays, apparatus and personnel. North Carolina Forest Service, Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog will also be in attendance. Fire prevention materials and three hundred smoke alarms will be given away to attendees.
