Man Tells 911 Woman Attacked Him Before He Shot Her in Trinity Shooting

ASHEBORO N.C. - A woman is in stable condition according to the Sherriff's Office after being shot this past Saturday in Trinity.
On October 8, 2022, at approximately 11:06 am, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a gunshot wound near the intersection of Roy Farlow Rd. and Archdale Rd. in Trinity.
According to released 911 audio, a man who called 911 said he had stopped on Roy Farlow Rd to give an unknown female with no shoes walking on the side of the road, a ride to the local fire station. He told operators that while she was in the car there was a confrontation where the female grabbed an impact driver tool from the floorboard and began assaulting him with it.
