Randleman man airlifted after single vehicle crash in Level Cross

Photo provided by Level Cross Vol Fire Department (via Facebook) LEVEL CROSS — A Randleman man was airlifted yesterday morning after sustaining serious injuries in a single vehicle crash in Level Cross. At around 6:17 a.m. emergency crews responded to a single vehicle accident on Providence Church Road near Oxendine Road. First responders with the Level Cross Volunteer Fire Department reported one person was pinned in the vehicle and preformed a quick extraction before transferring care to Randolph County EMS. Troopers from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to investigate the crash. Teen Airlifted After Evening Crash Shutdown US 64

ASHEBORO N.C. — A local teenager was airlifted following a crash yesterday evening that shutdown US-64, according to the Highway Patrol. Just after 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, the State Highway Patrol was called to respond to a vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 64 near Loflin Pond Road. According to a press release from the Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old driver in a 2011 Honda SUV attempted to turn left onto U.S. Highway 64 from the Dollar General PVA and collided with a 2020 Toyota Pickup. The teen driver was severely injured and was airlifted to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. The driver of the 2020 Toyota Pickup, along with an adult passenger, were transported to Randolph Health for non-life-threatening injuries. The N.C. Dept of Transportation closed both directions...

At 6:53 a.m. West-Side Fire & Rescue along with Ash-Rand Rescue, and Randolph County EMS were dispatched to NC 49, near Oak Hollow Drive for a two-vehicle accident. First responders arrived to find a two-vehicle accident with multiple patients, including one patient who was pinned-in a vehicle. The North Carolina Highway was notified and responded to investigate the crash. Mother & Son Arrested For Attempted Murder

ASHEBORO NC - A mother and son are in jail today after police say a confrontation over stolen items led to a shooting in Thomasville. According to the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on June 26th, 2021, at around 10:40 pm, deputies responded to a report of an assault on Stonehenge Road in Thomasville. When they arrived they found a gunshot victim lying in the road on Fuller Mill Road. That victim, who has not been identified, was airlifted from the scene in critical condition. The Sheriff's Office says they opened an investigation where they say they discovered that Elva Hughes Skipper and Steven Craig Skipper had gone to the victim’s home to confront him about stealing items.
