ASHEBORO N.C. - A search warrant executed last month by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office found drugs and led to the arrest of one person. According to a press release, on January 20th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division searched a residence at 935 Teresa Way in Asheboro. During the search, detectives located and seized Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Suboxone and items of drug paraphernalia. As a result, Pamela Beth McDuffie was transported to Randolph County Jail where she was booked on multiple felony drug charges. She was given a $40,000.00 secured bond with a court date scheduled for January 23, 2023, in Randolph County District Court. More charges may be forthcoming on additional individuals. ASHEBORO N.C. - On February 7th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office announced they had made an arrest in connection with the 2014 murder of Tammy Sellers Holland. Holland, who was found stabbed to death inside her home on October 28, 2014. According to the information from the Sheriff's Office, on the day Holland’s body was discovered, a neighbor who had been attempting to contact Holland went to the residence after work to check on her in person. When Holland didn’t come to the door, the neighbor peered in the window and saw Holland in the living room and called 911. According to the autopsy report released by the N.C. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office has made two arrests in two separate cases after receiving information regarding allegations of sexual offenses involving minors. On January 13th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Detectives brought charges against Bernard Joseph McSweeney for four counts of felony disseminating obscenities. ASHEBORO N.C. - A traffic stop in Asheboro last week discovered evidence of a robbery and led to the arrest of a driver and a passenger. On January 18, 2023, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Doris Acres St. near Grantville Ln., in Asheboro. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, during a search of the vehicle, deputies located paraphernalia and US Currency along with an empty Domino’s Pizza deposit bag in the possession of one of the passengers, identified as Stephanie Nichole Langley. On January 13th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an incident on US 220business just south of McDowell Road after a caller reported an armed person. Upon arrival, deputies met with the caller who said he had been the victim of a road rage incident where his vehicle was shot at before being rammed by another driver. ASHEBORO N.C. - The owner of a vehicle was arrested on felony drug charges after three juveniles took his vehicle from a party to get more alcohol and were stopped by deputies and troopers in Seagrove on Sunday. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on January 8, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on NC HWY 705 and Lawrence Farm Rd., in Seagrove. During the investigation, it was determined that the three underage juvenile occupants had been at a party in the area. On December 10, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Koonce Dr., in Trinity, for a call about a suspicious person.
