Wanted Man Located Sleeping in Randleman Barn
ASHEBORO N.C. - Deputies located a man with multiple warrants sleeping in a barn in Randleman earlier this week.
On April 16, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Stanton Farm Rd. and Hockett Dairy Rd., in Randleman, to locate wanted subject, Steven Lamar Hughes, Jr.
According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, Hughes was located sleeping in the loft of a barn and was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served with three orders for arrest out of Davidson County and received a $7,500 secured bond. He was also served with a Fugitive from Justice Order out of Georgia where the magistrate issued a $50,000 secured bond for that charge.
