Whitney Thayer May CHARGES[F] - Possession of methamphetamine [M] - Possession of drug paraphernalia BOND$2,000 secured bond On February 22, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to NC Hwy 22 N., Franklinville, in reference to a reported burglary. Upon investigation, it was determined that a burglary had not occurred. Methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located in the residence during the investigation. Whitney Thayer May was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charge(s) of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Overdose Call in Asheboro Leads To Vehicle Chase – Couple Arrested

ASHEBORO N.C. - What started as a call for a possible overdose in Asheboro ended with two people arrested, a gun seized, a stolen car recovered, all after a vehicle chase. On June 30, 2022 at around 6pm emergency crews and police were called to a possible overdose in the parking lot of the Randolph Mall. The 911 caller stated two subjects were slumped over inside a vehicle, which was parked in front of Belks. According to Assistant Chief of Police Robbie Brown with the Asheboro Police Department, officers arrived and located the vehicle. "While attempting to wake up the two occupants, inside the vehicle, officers noticed a firearm in the driver’s lap. Vehicle Chase Ends After Car Gets Stuck, 2 Arrested

(Scott Pelkey / Acme News Archive) ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people were arrested last Friday after they had to bail out of their vehicle which had become disabled during a vehicle pursuit. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on March 4th, 2022, a deputy tried to pull over a vehicle near Howard Mill Rd and Bennett Rd. Police say the driver sped up and led police on a short vehicle chase that ended when the driver turned on to Waddell's Ferry Rd. and ended up on the dirt and gravel portion of the road near the Deep River when the vehicle became disabled. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot but was apprehended. He was identified by police as Tommy Colon Hussey, who was wanted for multiple warrants and orders for arrest through multiple agencies...

Burglars Assault Victim And Steal Dog

ASHEBORO N.C. — A victim woke up to find two burglars in their home before being assaulted and having their dog stolen. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on November 29th, 2021, their deputies responded to Joe Branson Road in Bennett after getting a call about a breaking and entering and assault. The victim told police they woke up to two subjects entering their bedroom. One of the suspects assaulting the victim before the suspects took a dog from the residence as they left.
