Man Arrested After Robbery of First Bank in Asheboro
ASHEBORO N.C. - A man was arrested yesterday afternoon after police say he robbed the First Bank in Asheboro.
On November 14th, 2023, just before 4 p.m. officers responded to First Bank in Asheboro located at 335 S. Fayetteville St., for a report of an armed robbery.
According to a press release by the Asheboro Police Department, a white male suspect passed a note demanding money. After obtaining an unknown amount of currency the suspect exited the business on foot, fleeing towards the Asheboro Summit Apartments located next door to the bank.
Witnesses reported he entered the rear of the building and entered the elevator and officers located the suspect hiding in the shower of room 503, where they also say they located clothing worn during the robbery. The suspect was...
