Man Arrested for Assault Confesses to Murder, Police Find Body in Closet

ASHEBORO N.C. - A man arrested after ramming into another car in Asheboro confessed to murder in police custody, leading to Randleman Police locating a body in a closet.
On October 11th, 2022, just after 10:30 am, officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to a call about a fight in progress at the intersection of East Pritchard St and Farr St. According to a police report from the incident, when officers arrived, a male stepped out of a vehicle, laid on the ground and put his hands behind his head before confessing to ramming the other vehicle and assaulting both the occupants with a knife.
