ASHEBORO N.C. - Randolph County Crime Stoppers is raising money to help prevent crime and pay rewards for tips. Here is how you can help. Since 1983 Randolph County Crime Stoppers has been helping citizens and law enforcement communicate to help solve crimes and make a safer community. What is less known is that as a non-profit organization the organization does not receive tax money from any County or Municipal governments. All the money used to run the organization, including paying rewards for tips, comes from the community through donations and fund-raising activities. Through partnerships with all Randolph County law enforcement agencies, Randolph County Crime Stoppers provides ways for citizens to submit anonymous crime tips and information. Copperheads Help Raise Over $10,000 For Victory Junction

ASHEBORO NC - Last Thursday was Victory Junction Night at McCrary Park. The Asheboro Copperheads took on the Florence RedWolves sporting a special Victory Junction jersey as part of a fundraiser that helped raise over 13,000 dollars to go towards providing children with serious illnesses the opportunity to go to the camp at no cost. Photo provided by Operation Red Sleigh ASHEBORO NC- Operation Red Sleigh has announced its 21st annual charity cycling event, The “Sleigh Ride” is set for July 17th.   Operation Red Sleigh is a non-profit organization that began in 2000. Local law enforcement, including NC Highway Patrol, started the organization to assist families in Randolph County who were in need. "Our organization is given names of children in need by both school systems’ counselors/social workers. We then help Santa shop for those children in Randolph County who will not have a Christmas. We raise money throughout the year and normally provide a hot meal for the children and their family on the day the presents are distributed. ASHEBORO NC - Asheboro Mini Golf has been around for over 60 years, and after an especially rough year, its owner is asking the community for help. For the last four years, David Gregor has been running the mini-golf course located on S Fayetteville St. "It has been a staple in this community," said Gregor on his GoFundMe page. He describes it as a skill-based golf course. "I took over the business in 2016 and started off being a big part of this wonderful community. We have done things like giving the county library system 2,000 free games to give children who complete their weekly reading during the summer reading program.
