ASHEBORO N.C. – The city of Asheboro has announced its third Annual Gifting Tree Project, and registration is underway for a limited number of trees. Organized by the City of Asheboro's Cultural & Recreation Services, the Gifting Tree Project transforms Bicentennial Park into a dazzling Christmas tree display. Local families, schools, and organizations decorate their trees in a competition to win a donation (provided by Modern Toyota) to the nonprofit of their choice. Want to participate? "Stroll through Bicentennial Park as it is transformed into a dazzling Christmas tree display. Local businesses, religious organizations, non-profits, schools, service clubs, and individuals/families decorate their tree in a competition to win a donation (provided by Modern Toyota) to the nonprofit group of their choice" said Cultural & Recreation Services in a press release.
