ASHEBORO N.C. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month a North Asheboro Park that left a 16-year-old in critical condition, according to the Asheboro Police Department. On May 3rd, as officers were responding to a report of shots fired in the area of North Asheboro Park on Canoy Drive, a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the jaw/neck was brought to the Emergency Room at Randolph Hospital by vehicle. An investigation by Detectives identified another 16-year-old male as the suspect, but police were unable to locate that suspect, until today. ASHEBORO N.C. - Monday morning police responded to several break-ins of vehicles at a north Asheboro apartment complex including a stolen vehicle which led to a vehicle pursuit into Greensboro. If all that sounds familiar it's because the same thing happened late last year at and near the same apartment complex. Early Monday morning, just before 3am, officers with the Asheboro Police Department say they were responding to a report of a stolen vehicle at Mathew Grande Apartments, on N. Fayetteville Street in Asheboro. ASHEBORO N.C. - A woman is facing a slew of charges after police say she fled from them after they tried to pull her vehicle over to investigate a report of a female being forced out of a vehicle. In a press release this week the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says that on June 7, 2022, a deputy was in the area of Caraway Mtn. Rd, near Asheboro, conducting an investigation, when a driver approached to report seeing a female being forced out of a vehicle on Caraway Mtn. Road. Deputies located that female, who was observed exiting the vehicle earlier on Caraway Mtn. Rd., and transported her to an area hospital for evaluation.
