Just before 5 p.m. Randolph County 911, dispatched an EMS unit to the intersection of N Elm St and Brewer St, in Asheboro, for a standby for a possible gunshot wound. On June 24, 2023, at 11:23 PM, officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to a report of gunshots fired in the 800 block of Salem Court. Randolph County 911 advised responding officers that multiple people had been shot. Three victims were found at the scene and transported by EMS to a local medical facility. An additional victim arrived at the facility after being transported by personal vehicle. ASHEBORO N.C. - On person has been transported to the hospital in serious condition after being shot earlier this afternoon in a neighborhood near Sunset Ave in Asheboro. According to a press release from the Asheboro Police Department, on April 11th, 2023, at 12:58 PM, officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to the Quick Check at 509 Sunset Avenue in reference to a victim on the sidewalk of the store suffering from a small caliber gunshot wound to the lower torso. Randolph County EMS and Asheboro Fire/Rescue Department responded to the scene and the victim was transported to an out of county medical facility by Randolph County EMS for further medical treatment. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Asheboro Police Department says two suspects of a possible home invasion were injured after the homeowner opened fire, hitting them both this morning. This morning just after 4:30 am, officers with the Asheboro Police Department's patrol division were dispatched to the area of Underwood Street in reference to a 911 hang-up call. The officers learned from 911 that there was a subject with a gunshot wound nearby at 1634 Traci Street. When officers arrived on Traci Street they located a male at the rear of the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
