ASHEBORO NC – A man is in jail today after he led sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase that ended in Montgomery County. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s office just after 11 PM on October 29th, 2021 they pulled over a driver just south of the Ulah Troy exit on I-73/74. Police say that as the deputy approached the vehicle, the driver sped off getting back onto I-73/74 heading south.A vehicle pursuit ensued, with speeds reading almost 100 mph according to law enforcement radio traffic. Armed Suspect Leads Police on High-Speed Chase

ASHEBORO N.C. - A High Point man is facing multiple felonies after hitting a patrol car during a high-speed chase. According to a press release by the Asheboro Police Department, on Monday, March 22nd, 2021, just before 6 PM officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to the area of 281 Tremont Drive, for a call about a domestic disturbance. Officers say when they arrived, they found Bradley Allen Byers armed with a handgun. Byers fled the scene in a blue Dodge pickup-truck. Additional responding officers were able to locate Byers nearby and conducted a traffic stop. After pulling over, police say Byers got out of the vehicle armed with a handgun and refused to follow commands. Byers then re-entered his vehicle and sped-off, leading officers on a high-speed pursuit. ...
