Sheriff’s Office Arrests NY Man After Locating Over $10,000 in Stolen Items

ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office's Highway Criminal Interdiction Team arrested a New York man last week after they say the located over $10,000 of stolen items in the vehicle. According to a press release, on October 6th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Highway Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on I-85 in Archdale. During that stop deputies were able to search the vehicle and say they located marijuana, several fraudulent identity cards, and over $10,000 in fraudulently purchased power equipment. ASHEBORO NC- A Brooklyn man accused of shooting at a stripper in Miami Beach and stealing a car in Maryland was arrested on a traffic stop in Randolph County on Monday. Tremain Christopher Weekes According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on May 3, 2021, the Highway Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on I-85 in Archdale. The driver, Tremain Christopher Weekes of Brooklyn NY, was wanted out of Florida for Failure to Appear for Attempted Murder. The attempted murder charge stems from an incident on October 8th, 2020, in Miami Beach. ASHEBORO NC - On April 29th, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Highway Criminal Interdiction Team says they pulled over a vehicle on I-74 near Archdale. When officers searched the vehicle they say they located cocaine.Two individuals were arrested and transported to Randolph County Jail where the magistrate found probable cause for charges. Cierra Storm White was charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana up to ½ oz. She received a $10,000 unsecured bond with a first appearance set for May 24, 2021, in Randolph District Court. Morgan Lacey Wilkinson was charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine. She received a $10,000 unsecured Bond with a first appearance set for May 24, 2021 in Randolph District Court.
