ASHEBORO N.C. - A local organization is using plastic grocery bags to make mat beds for the homeless in our community. Here is how you can contribute and also get rid of some of the plastic bags building up in your drawers. Chaplain Bill Hatfield with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office's has been coordinating efforts to assist Keaton’s Place with their community service project. Keaton’s Place, a recovery recourse center located in Asheboro says they aid in navigating the complex process of locating detoxification and rehabilitation facilities for those who are seeking to change their lives and free themselves from addiction to drugs or alcohol, according to the organization's website.
