Man with Multiple Warrants Rams Deputy’s Vehicle During Chase
ASHEBORO N.C. - A wanted man is facing multiple charges after authorities say while attempting to flee from deputies the suspect rammed a patrol car before almost crashing into a home earlier this week.
According to a press release, on December 26th, 2022, Deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office were searching the Ramseur/Liberty areas for Jimmy Ray Pearson, who had multiple outstanding warrants.
A deputy observed Pearson's vehicle traveling north on Ramseur Julian Rd. Additional deputies responded and a traffic stop was initiated but Pearson refused to stop and continued on Colonial Trading Path.
