ASHEBORO N.C. - Two adult suspects who allegedly stole from a local convince store and later conducted a drive by shooting in front of two police officers, were arrested last week according to police reports. On Tuesday July 18th, 2023, at around 9:30 pm, police were notified of a larceny at the Quik Chek store on Sunset Ave in Asheboro. Before the police could respond, two officers working an off-duty detail at Coleridge Apartments called in shots fired after witnessing an individual hanging out of the window firing a pistol towards Kemp Blvd, according to a police report. ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people were taken to the hospital overnight after crashing into another car while thier vehicle was being shot at according to police. At around 10:45 pm on April 16th, 2023, officers were called to Coleridge Rd in Asheboro for a report of gunshots fired in the area. While officers were enroute they were advised that multiple shots had been fired at a vehicle which led to it crashing into another vehicle. 911 operators advised one of the callers said they had been shot and were still in the vehicle, according to a police report.
