ASHEBORO N.C. - Asheboro Police are investigating an armed robbery after a delivery driver was robbed at knife point late Sunday night. According to a report from the Asheboro Police Department, just after 10pm on October 15th, 2023, officers responded to Tucker St for a report of an armed robbery. The victim, a pizza delivery driver told officers that two black males had put a knife to his throat and robbed him of the pizzas he was delivering, his cell phone, and cash from his vehicle. Officials with the police department say the case is being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division.

ASHEBORO N.C. - A man is in jail without bond today after police say he tried to attack family members with a knife but was subdued by the victims. That's according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office who said in a press release that on December 9th, 2021, deputies responded to Featherstone Ct., in Trinity, in reference to an armed person. Deputies say when they arrived the victims reported the male had attacked them with a kitchen knife, but that they had been able to subdue him until police arrived. Deputies placed the male whom they identified as William Edward Kuntz, under arrest. EMS responded to evaluate and treat Kuntz and the victims for their injuries. Kuntz was transported to the Randolph County Jail where the magistrate found probable cause for the offenses of two counts...
