Man Who Escaped House Arrest Leads Police on Chase in Asheboro, Arrested
ASHEBORO N.C. - A local man who fled from house arrest almost a year ago, led Police in Asheboro on a foot chase before being arrested last week.
Jordan Lamar Billings placed on EHA with Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on July 29th, 2021, for multiple charges. According to a press release on December 7th, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers received information that Billings monitoring device was not charged, leading them to discover that Billings had let the bracelet go dead, cut it off, and left it in a mailbox.
The Sheriff’s Office obtained an Order for Arrest for Billings for Violation of Pre-Trial Conditions of Release/EHA. He also had outstanding Orders for Arrest for Failure to Appear in Chatham and Randolph Counties.
