ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people were arrested and are now facing multiple felony drug trafficking charges after deputies located drugs on a traffic stop leading to an investigation that located more drugs and guns in a camper. On June 30th, 2023, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Mack Rd. in Asheboro. During a search of the vehicle the Sheriff's office says they located and seized approximately 4 ½ of Methamphetamine as well as Suboxone, Oxycodone and two firearms, according to a press release. The driver of the vehicle, identified by the Sheriff's Office as Evan Baker, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment following the traffic stop and investigators were able to obtain warrants for Baker's arrest.
